Welcome to NEEDS 2020, the fifth edition of the Northern European Conference on Emergency and Disaster Studies, hosted by Mid Sweden University and organized by the Risk and Crisis Research Centre 10–12 March in Östersund, Sweden.
The NEEDS conference aims to explore the status quo of disaster research and management. The conference wishes to harness its broad, interdisciplinary expertise by gathering disaster researchers from academic institutions and practitioners from the disaster management community (European and beyond) to build networks and to discuss the most pressing issues in disaster research across the academic and practical disciplines.
18.20–20.00 Art exhibition with selected contemporary artists working in various ways on the theme of disasters and future perspectives (Building F)
Artist Linda Lasson and curator Andreas Brännlund will present the art. Guided viewings start at 18.40 and 19.10.
The exhibition will be open for the rest of the conference.
