WE ARE THE NORDICS explores the past and present of Nordic colonialism through a sensory, immersive performance installation by Stina Aletta Aikio. Blending the personal, historical, factual, and emotional, the work invites audiences into a living landscape where soil, bodies, words, and memory merge in a shared act of transformation and dialogue. A nomadic work that is reborn in collaboration with local artists at each stop, WE ARE THE NORDICS comes to Dáiddadállu with Stina Aletta Aikio (Sápmi/FI), Tróndur Bogason (FO), Elisabeth Heilmann Blind (GL), Ingrid Tranum Velásquez (DK), and guest artist Ole-Henrik Lifjell, featuring texts by Camara Joof and lighting design by Mikkel Magnus Olsen. Premiered in Nuuk, Greenland, in 2023, the work has since toured across the Nordic region.
